Johnny TV (John Hennigan) Appears On 6/23 AEW Rampage, Aligns With QT Marshall

John Hennigan is back in AEW, and he has a new name.

The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens), along with "Daddy Ass" Billy Gunn, scored a dominant win over Axel Rico, Darius Latrell, and Koda Hernandez on Friday. Harley Cameron interrupted their post-match celebration and pitched the idea of joining forces with The Acclaimed. She said Bowens was clearly into her, and she even broke out into a rap. Bowens told Cameron that he was gay, and Gunn pointed out that they already had a great rapper.

QT Marshall came to the stage and distracted The Acclaimed, and they left the ring to confront him. Johnny Elite, also known as John Hennigan or John Morrison, showed up and attacked Gunn from behind. He then stood tall with Marshall and the QTV crew. The commentators referred to Johnny as Johnny TV.

WWE released Hennigan in November 2021. Since then, he has competed for GCW, AAA, and MLW, among other promotions. He made his AEW debut as Johnny Elite on the May 18, 2022, episode of AEW Dynamite, where he lost to Samoa Joe. The former WWE Intercontinental Champion also wrestled at the AEW Dark tapings on May 27, 2022, and he lost to Miro on the June 1 episode of AEW Dynamite.

Fightful Select reported that Hennigan will be with AEW, and he is signed going forward.
