Mark Briscoe Returns On 10/27 AEW Rampage, Attacks Kip Sabian

Mark Briscoe is back.

On the October 27 episode of AEW Rampage, Kip Sabian came to the ring and took several shots at Philadelphia's sports teams. He made fun of the Philadelphia Philles for losing to the Arizona Diamondbacks in the National League Championship Series.

Sabian also brought up James Harden and his controversial standing with the Philadelphia 76ers. H enoted that Harden loves Philadelphia as much as he does. Mark Briscoe then made his return by interrupting and attacking Sabian.

Briscoe, a 13-time ROH World Tag Team Champion, last wrestled at the ROH television tapings on June 29. He had been set to challenge Claudio Castagnoli for the ROH World Championship at ROH Death Before Dishonor 2023, but he was pulled from the match due to injury. Fightful Select previously reported that sources close to Briscoe indicated that he needed surgery due to a serious knee injury, and he would likely miss the rest of 2023 unless something major happened.
