It's been a couple of weeks since the WWE Raw roster took another hit, as Nia Jax took a leave of absence from the show. Now, an outlet is saying there's much more than meets the eye, and it involves a WWE legend.
Sports Illustrated's Justin Barrasso is reporting that Nia Jax was unhappy with the planned move of losing to former Raw Women's Champion Sasha Banks clean at last Sunday's WWE TLC pay-per-view. The report states that she'd go on to call her cousin, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who told her to walk away from WWE if she wasn't happy with her booking situation.
Fightful.com was told this wasn't a walkout, and that Nia is generally outspoken as it pertains to storylines or angles that she doesn't agree with. WWE expects Jax back by next week's European tour, and her best friend Alexa Bliss noted in a recent interview that Jax was in need of some time off of the road. We've also been told that while The Rock is known to give Jax advice, it wasn't outwardly stated that he encouraged her to leave the company.
It should also be noted that Nia Jax has lost clean to Sasha Banks several times this year alone.
