Good news over in Japan as Stardom, Dragon Gate, and DDT are set to run events in the coming week.
Dragon Gate will be running Sunday, Mar. 22 in Kobe for its first show back. Stardom will be running Tuesday, Mar. 24 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. DDT ran a show Friday, Mar. 20.
Fans attending the events will be subject to a temperature check and masks will be passed out.
These promotions are able to run events due to the government meeting on Thursday with doctors reporting that the coronavirus has now been limited to three parts of Japan. Parts of Tokyo, but not the entire city, are one of the three regions along with subdivisions of Aichi, whose main city is Nagoya, and Hyogo, whose main city is Kobe.
The panel recommended that areas of Japan with low numbers of coronavirus cases can consider resuming classes and sporting events, and said that the increase in cases appeared to be slightly decreasing. They still warned against large gatherings in small enclosed areas.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that New Japan was hoping to resume on Mar. 31, though no official announcement has been made.
Fightful will continue to update fans on any changes to the wrestling schedule as more is known.
