Steve Maclin maintains that he's not trying to bend over backward to appear on WWE programming despite the working relationship between TNA Wrestling and WWE NXT. Still, he does appear to be open to at least making a Royal Rumble appearance.
The relationship between WWE NXT and TNA has seen some fruitful crossover action such as Joe Hendry headlining an NXT PLE and Jordynne Grace appearing multiple times in 2024, including in the Royal Rumble.
Appearing on Thats Wrestling!, Steve Maclin was asked once again how he feels about potentially appearing on WWE programming as part of the crossover. He reiterated that he would be open to an appearance if it happened. However, he is happy where he is in TNA Wrestling. He did, however, make a reference to the Royal Rumble.
"If it happens, it happens. I'm very happy with where I am in my spot right now in TNA. Obviously, with the crossover, it'd be awesome, because he gets more eyes on me, and then TNA itself. But I'm just happy with the direction right now, the stories that I'm going through, and my feud right now with Josh [Alexander], I'm enjoying. But if something was to happen, who knows? Maybe Rumble time," he said.
Jordynne Grace is hopeful for even more crossover between the brands. In the past, she's talked about wanting to see a full NXT vs. TNA Worlds Collide pay-per-view. Read her comments here.
