Steve Maclin would like to team up with Westin Blake in IMPACT Wrestling if the opportunity presents itself.
Maclin and Blake previously teamed up together as The Forgotten Sons in WWE. Alongside Jaxson Ryker, the duo were called up to the main roster for an ill-fated run on SmackDown in 2020. WWE later released Maclin in February 2021 and Blake in April that same year. They reunited at The Wrestling REVOLVER's Swerve's House event in April, where they defeated The American Wolves to win the tag titles. The duo later lost the gold to The OGK at the Cage of Horrors show in July.
During an appearance on The Angle Podcast, Maclin was asked about potentially reuniting with Blake in IMPACT Wrestling.
“I’d love to be standing in that corner with him holding that tag rope, which nobody does, haha, but it’s one of those things that if it happens it happens. We both had that discussion when I got to IMPACT and he supports me and I support him with whatever he does," Maclin said.
As for what's next for him, Maclin is focused on chasing the world title, as he wants to challenge Josh Alexander for the gold.
“Josh Alexander. Me and Josh, I think that’s the match that’s been building and people are secretly and quietly starting to speak about that they want to see. It’s the match I want because he is the world champion and I hope he holds onto that title," he said.
Maclin will face Moose and Sami Callihan in a Barbed Wire Massacre match at IMPACT Victory Road. Check out the card for the show by clicking here.
Blake recently guest coached at the WWE Performance Center. More information is available here.
