Stone Cold Steve Austin Says If He Were To Get Back In The Ring, He Doesn't Want His Age Harped On

Stone Cold explains why he's hesitant.

There have been many WWE superstars who were at the top of the mountain for many years in the company still moving forward as in-ring performers. This is exampled by NXT founder and senior producer Triple H wrestling every year at big events - most recently at WWE Crown Jewel. The Undertaker wrestles at big events as well. Mayor Glenn "Kane" Jacobs came back for multiple stints this year and at the aforementioned Crown Jewel event, WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels wrestled for the first time in eight years.

With some of WWE's greatest stars stepping back into the ring, fans have wondered who is the next legend that is going to return and one of the names that the public has been looking to as that next legend to return is WWE Hall Of Famer and former 6-time WWF Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin. Austin addressed the fans reaching out to him about a return during his 'Steve Austin Podcast' and stated that one of the main reasons he is hesitant about it is because he does not want people consistently dwelling on his age opposed to what's he doing in the ring.

“They say, ‘Hey man, Steve, everybody’s making a comeback. HBK’s back, Triple H is back, Undertaker is back. They got the Brothers of Destruction. They’re heading over to Saudi Arabia.' I’m like, ‘Okay, so if I did come back, do I want to come back as being the 53-year old Stone Cold Steve Austin or be ass-kicking Stone Cold Steve Austin. I want them to harp on my ass-kicking, not my age." Austin said.
