Swerve Strickland Compares Kendrick Lamar And Drake Feud To Kenny Omega vs. Bryan Danielson

Swerve Strickland discusses how a Kendrick Lamar vs. Drake match will play out in the squared circle.

Swerve Strickland enjoys bridging the worlds of professional wrestling and rap. With the recent rivalry between Kendrick Lamar and Drake, Strickland could be the best person to ask about how that rivalry would translate into a wrestling ring.

Taz: I'm Proud Of HOOK, He's Kicking Ass

Strickland commented on what he thinks a wrestling match between Kendrick Lamar and Drake would be like during a recent interview with Shakiel Mahjouri. He compared the potential match between them to Kenny Omega versus Brian Danielson. He chose this comparison because, in his eyes, the issues between Drake and Kendrick are largely philosophical.

"If I had to compare it in a wrestling sense, man, I think that would be like Kenny [Omega] and Will Ospreay type feel. If you had to put those guys up of that generation. It's crazy for me, but I feel like the difference is just the difference of philosophies and what success is. That's how I saw what Kendrick and Drake was. I feel like that's the same way of like a Kenny, and maybe not as much Will, but maybe more of like a Kenny and Bryan Danielson. There are two different types of philosophies of what pro wrestling truly is of this generation."

Swerve Strickland also recently commented on the vibes of the AEW locker room. Read those comments here.

Shawn Michaels commented on "Sweet Chin Music" being referenced by Kendrick Lamar in "Not Like Us." Read HBK's comments here.
