At AEW Revolution, Swerve Strickland faced Ricochet in a match where the winner would be named the Number One Contender to the AEW World Championship. During the match, Ricochet taunted Leslie Jones, who was in the crowd. He also got Ken Jeong's face at ringside. Prince Nana got involved in the match as well. He walked out on Strickland after Swerve accidentally shoved him down. Nana came back and took the Embassy Robe. Ricochet then dove onto him and put the robe back on. Ricochet nearly got the win when he hit the Vertigo. Nana interfered again as he tried to take the robe. The distraction nearly cost Ricochet, as Swerve rolled him up for a near fall.

In the end, two House Calls and the Big Pressure clinched the win for Strickland. Swerve then gave the Embassy Robe back to Nana after the bell.
