Swerve said he was cleared to wrestle, though it is unclear when he will return to the ring.

"I'm still not 100%, but I am getting a clean bill of health to keep moving forward. No better way to do that than come back to WrestleDream, where honestly this whole push really started. Last year's WrestleDream was really the rocket ship to get me to the main event and World Championship," he said at the post-show press conference.

In the in-ring segment, Swerve turned down MVP's business offer and got into a shoving contest with Shelton Benjamin.

When asked by Nigel McGuinness if Shelton might be first up for him, Swerve replied, "I would say so, but we'll see how these next couple of weeks really pan out."
