Sid was recently featured in an interview with the Attitude Era Podcast and was asked how he felt about a potential induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. During his answer, he revealed that WWE still has him under contract, saying that perhaps the company would think that is a good reason to potentially put him in the Hall of Fame as he believes it would be a mutually beneficial move.

"You'd think that they would offer that. Again, Vince [McMahon] didn't like me so much; I think that's why they haven't offered me that. But, with Vince being gone now, you'd think those people would say, 'Hey, this guy, we still got him on contract. He is still making a little bit of money. It would help him if we did that,' and it would help them as well. You would think they might want to do everything they could to promote something like that. That might be something fun to start, too. If you get back in, you might want to do something like a part-time deal, [be a] manager, or special -- I think I was pretty good at interviews, too. There's always a lot of people having a hard time with that. If I could teach them, maybe I could help them do their interviews."

Sycho Sid is one of the most unique stars in WWE history. His last appearance for WWE came on the June 25, 2012 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, where he defeated Heath Slater in under two minutes. Sid only wrestled twice at WrestleMania, and he was closing the show both times.

At WrestleMania 8, he lost to Hulk Hogan by disqualification in what would be advertised as Hogan's last match as a full-time WWE Superstar during his iconic mid-80s run with the company. Sid would even kick out of the Atomic Leg Drop in that match. At WrestleMania 13. Sid was the defending WWE Champion and lost the title to The Undertaker, becoming a part of The Undertaker's iconic WrestleMania undefeated streak that lasted until 2014.

Sid was featured as downloadable content in WWE 2K17, his first WWE video game appearance since WWE WrestleMania Steel Cage Challenge in 1992. Still, no further appearances for the former WWE Champion were made then.
