TAELER: Ivelisse Putting AEW Women On Notice!

Since debuting with All Elite Wrestling on TNT, Ivelise Velez has been on a winning rampage in their Women's Division. This week on AEW Dark, we saw Ivelisse take on The Pink Dream herself, Alex Gracia. As Gracia said on her social media, it may not have ended the way she hoped, but it was still a great opportunity. And she's absolutely right! Fans took to Twitter raving about the match claiming it to be their favorite Women's match on Dynamite that night. Gracia showed impressively and went toe to toe with the focused and aggressively motivated veteran Ivelisse. In my opinion, if you're going to end up in a losing effort on T.V., it's great to lose to someone on an aggressive winning streak with immense credibility. Someone like Ivelisse Velez currently at AEW.

Since her AEW debut earlier this year, Ivelisse has gone on to win the Women's Tag Team titles with Diamante and catapult into an impressive record worthy of a number 1 contender spot. Ivelisse Velez has consistently outperformed for years winning more than she's lost in all the companies she's worked for since leaving FCW. And as she stands right now, Ivelisse is in a prime position to be headed towards a title match to face Hikaru Shida. Hikaru Shida is currently the longest reigning Women's Champion in AEW. Shida herself has successfully defending her title for over 180 days.

Pitting Ivelisse Velez against Hikaru Shida again in my opinion would be an amazing opportunity for PPV. Ivelisse with every appearance has further cemented her worth to AEW fans and higher ups in the office alike. Her impressive 17 year resume speaks for itself and so too does her AEW record standing that beats Anna Jay, Thunder Rosa, Serena Deeb, Red Velvett, and others.

Accordong to AEW, headed into this week Shida will Square off against Anna Jay. We'll see if the Dark Order interferes on behalf of Anna Jay for her to win, or if Hikaru Shida remains the reigning AEW Women's Champion. If so, her next opponent should be built up to Ivelisse Velez and clash at a major AEW PPV. If I were Ivelisse, I'd be planting those seeds now while I have the steam. Afterall, what you feed grows and what you starve dies. After Shida has faced Riho Nyla Rose, Big Swole, Penelope Ford, will Ivelisse be next on that list? Will she successfully dethrone Hikaru Shida? Will AEW officially sign Alex Gracia? Stay tuned. Only time will tell! Be sure to check out AEW Dark every Tuesday on AEW's YouTube Channel and AEW Dynamite on TNT every Wednesday!
