This past weekend IMPACT Wrestling hosted its most recent PPV, This Is Rebellion. The PPV showcased many title match and two in particular saw some shakeups in the IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Division. One such impactful shakeup was the IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Championship match. The bout highlighted four immensely talented women going toe to toe in the pursuit of championship gold and of course the bragging rights that go along with the championship status.
The PPV would highlight The Knockouts Tag Team Champions Fire n Flava Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz going up against the former Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace and her partner, former WWE NXT star Rachael Ellering, both of whom were accompanied to the ring by the future WWE Hall of Famer, The Phenom Jazz. Jordynne Grace and Jazz have been after the KO Tag Titles for quite some time prior to Jazz's 'Career Vs. Title match against The KO's Champion The Virtuosa Deonna Purrazzo at Hardcore Justice on the IMPACT Plus App. Jazz's subsequent retirement drew the attention of the aforementioned KO Tag Team Champions which resulted in an impromptu match that saw Jazz and Grace beat the fire out of Hogan and the flava out of Steelz mouth.
The heated interaction would result in the descent of Fire n Flava as their bout at Rebellion left them without their coveted gold around their waists. Rachael Ellering in her IMPACT Wrestling debut not only got accompanied to the ring by Jazz, she also became one half of the new IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Champions with Jordynne Grace whose building one heck of an IMPACT Wrestling career over the last two years. Grace and Ellering will walk into IMPACT this Thursday on AXS TV for the first time as Tag Team Champions sporting their gorgeous shiny new belts. And I think its safe to say that Fire n Flava will not be far behind once they get the bad taste of their loss out of their mouths.
As I've previously said, they're not ones to mince words and will certainly have quite a bit to say after sitting in defeat all week. With Kimber Lee in singles action against the returning Taylor Wilde, and The Virtuosa basking in her win against Tenille Dashwood, the only imminent threat as far as established tag teams are concerned besides Fire n Flava are Havok and Rosemary…Tune in to IMPACT on Thursday to find out what the new KO Tag Team Champs have in store as the impact of Rebellion settles over the Knockouts Division...
