Tampa Releases Statement On WrestleMania 36 Moving, Refund Details Included

WWE announced on Monday that WrestleMania 36 would be moving from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL to the Performance Center in Orlando, FL. The event will be open to essential personnel only with no live audience. 

On Tuesday, Tampa officials released the following statement regarding the event and refunds:

-Ticketmaster.com will be issuing refunds within the next 30 days. 

-If you purchased tickets at the box office in Tampa, you can receive a refund when that box office officially opens for business again. 

-If you purchased from anywhere else, you should contact that third-party directly,

The Tampa Bay Local Organizing Committee issued the following statement:

"Our community has waited 36 years to host WrestleMania and while we are saddened that this unforeseen situation has led us to today's announcement, this is totally the right call for the security and safety of everyone involved.  A huge thank you to all our local leaders and our friends at WWE, as we collectively worked through the unprecedented fluidity of the last few weeks.  The Tampa Bay-WWE partnership has never been stronger."
