Fans who watched Wednesday night's episode of the Mae Young Classic saw Tegan Nox's heartbreaking knee injury. Facing Rhea Ripley, Nox performed a suicide dive to the outside when her knee got caught underneath her. Visibly hobbled and in pain, Nox tried to fight through the injury and continue the match. Eventually, the referee and doctor were able to get the match stopped, protecting Nox from herself.
It's a tough moment to watch, especially when you consider the circumstances. Nox had to miss the inaugural Mae Young Classic last year after tearing her ACL. There were reports that she was scheduled to go to the Finals of this year's MYC, but that changed once she became injured.
Taking to Twitter, Nox revealed the extent of her injury and showed off her scar.
Nox says she dislocated her knee cap, tore her MCL and LCL, tore her ACL and both meniscus, suffered bone contusions, and had a Segond Fracture on her left tibia. She is out of action indefinitely.
If you want to be even sadder, WWE released a video of Nox backstage immediately after the match. You can view that video above.
