Teil Rhodes Reveals She Booked Neck Tattoo Appointment For Cody Rhodes, Thought It Was Going On His Chest

Cody Rhodes had the wrestling world talking at AEW Revolution 2020 when he revealed a neck tattoo of the American Nightmare logo ahead of his bout against MJF.

The tattoo became a talking point during and after the match, which was won by MJF.

Teil Rhodes, Cody's sister, revealed that she was the one who set up the tattoo appointment, but even she didn't know quite what the world was in for.

"I found the tattoo artist. I booked the appointment. I thought it was going on his chest. He had the one for our dad [American Dream tattoo]. I thought, 'He's a grown man, he can get a tattoo. That's fine.' When we all saw it, it was so big. I didn't even want to say that because the feedback was a lot at the time. One thing about Cody, we disagree, but he usually ends up being right in the end. I didn't tell anybody. My mom asked, 'No, I can't believe he did that. I had no idea.' That was a day. My aunts, the Cuban side, in Tampa, that was a real lively phone tree. When we have an emergency, it activates the phone tree. That classified under emergency," said Teil while speaking to Jeremy Lambert & Stephen Jensen on The Spotlight.

Cody previously admitted that he thought the tattoo was going to be smaller.

The logo, thanks in part to the neck tattoo, has become an iconic part of the Cody brand.
