Thrillbilly Silas Mason Relinquishes NWA National Title, Tournament Set To Crown New Champion

Thrillbilly Silas Mason has relinquished the NWA National Openweight Championship.

On the March 19 episode of NWA Powerrr, Silas Mason opened the show by talking about his growing star power. He boasted about being in "The Iron Claw" but said that it can be forgotten that he is the current NWA National Champion.

He wouldn't be after the night was finished as he relinquished the championship, announcing to the world that he was setting his sights on EC3 and NWA World's Heavyweight Championship.

Now that he's abdicated the championship, Billy Corgan has revealed that there will be an eight-man tournament, culminating in a 4-Way Match at the NWA Hard Times set of Television tapings.

The following eight men were announced for the tournament:

- Paul Burchill
- Blake Troop
- AJ Cazana
- Zyon
- Bryan Idol
- "Magic" Jake Dumas
- Thom Latimer
- Carson Drake

The tournament began on March 19 and Blake Troop advanced over Bryan Idol.
