Interim no more.
On the November 23 episode of AEW Dynamite, Renee Paquette announced that AEW asked Thunder Rosa to forfeit the AEW Women's World Championship due to her ongoing absence. In the interest of the women's division having a fighting champion, Rosa agreed to do so. As a result, Jamie Hayter is now the Undisputed AEW Women's World Champion. Hayter won the AEW Interim Women's World Championship by defeating Toni Storm at AEW Full Gear.

Storm previously won the title at AEW All Out after Rosa announced that she was unable to defend her championship due to injury. Shortly after Paquette's annoucement, the broadcast team shared the news that Storm would also be recognized as a lineal champion.
In a tweet, Rosa commented on the news by thanking AEW and the fans. She stated that dream-like moments happened during her run. Rosa said that she didn't want to lose the title this way, but the fans deserve a present champion.
Thank you #ThunderArmy for all the support and @aew for being there for me. Dream-like moments happened in this run, and this is not how I wanted to lose the championship, but you deserve a present champion; on to the next chapter.
