Here is your fight size update following WWE Payback 2023
- NXT Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton confronted Becky Lynch after Becky Lynch successfully defeated Trish Stratus inside a steel cage. Again, Tiffany apologized for errantly calling Becky Lynch a former WWE NXT Women's Champion. Lynch warned Tiffany that she should focus more on her upcoming title defense against Kiana James and that maybe she would see her soon.
- The Great Muta was also in the front row during the main event match featuring Shinsuke Nakamura trying to wrestle away the World Heavyweight Championship from Seth Rollins. While he came up short, this was the first time that Shinsuke Nakamura headlined a WWE pay-per-view

- John Cena hosted WWE Payback and was the guest referee in the match that saw LA Knight defeat The Miz. After their Undisputed World Tag Team Championship victory, John Cena would channel his inner Lance Catamaran as he interviewed Finn Balor and Damian Priest.

- Rey Mysterio retained the WWE United States Championship at WWE Payback, defeating Austin Theory. Learn more about that here.
- Thanks to Dominik Mysterio's intervention, Rhea Ripley successfully retained her Women's World Championship over Raquel Rodriguez.
- Cody Rhodes and Corey Graves present the Pittsburgh Steelers with a NFL WWE Legacy Title Belt as WWE Payback emanates from the Steel City.
- Jey Uso, complete with his own theme song, came back to WWE at WWE Payback and will now be a member of the WWE Raw roster. Cody Rhodes, who made the announcement on the Grayson Waller Effect, claimed he utilized every bit of political leverage he had to get Jey on WWE Raw. Jey then Superkicked Waller, who iced his wound with a Pepsi.
- Trish Stratus not only lost to Becky Lynch inside of a steel cage tonight but she was betrayed by Zoey Stark as well. The WWE Hall of Famer also received an ovation from the Pittsburgh crowd following her match.
