Tiffany Stratton comments on Jordynne Grace challenging for the WWE NXT Women's Championship at WWE NXT Battleground and says she's keeping an eye on two of AEW's top women's wrestlers for dream matches of her own.
Jordynne Grace appeared on the May 28 episode of WWE NXT and was revealed as the woman who would challenge Roxanne Perez for the WWE NXT Women's Championship at WWE NXT Battleground.
Grace walked through the prohibited portal just as she did in the 2024 WWE Women's Royal Rumble and now, fans and wrestlers are like are excited for the different possibilities that a precedent like this can set for the future.
Tiffany Stratton was recently a guest on the Battleground Podcast and she spoke openly about how she enjoys the idea of more wrestlers coming over from different promotions because it broadens the roster and gets even more eyes on WWE.
"Yeah, I think it's so cool that we have people coming over from different promotions and stuff like that. I definitely feel like it brings more eyes on the company, for sure, but it also kind of broadens our roster," said Tiffany. "I feel like Roxanne Perez vs. Jordynne Grace is a match people have in their dream matches before and they're both in separate companies and the fact that maybe the possibility is there to get other talents from different companies. I feel like opens up so many different dream match opportunities and stuff like that. So I think it's very cool."
Asked about wrestlers from other promotions she would like to have a dream match with, Tiffany praised both Deonna Purrazzo and Toni Storm of AEW. Specifically, Stratton said that she is a huge fan of the character work that Toni is doing as well as the work in the ring the AEW Women's World Champion continues to exhibit.
"I do love what Toni Storm is doing," she said. "I respect so much of her in-ring work and as well as Deonna Purrazzo."
Toni Storm is currently paired with Mariah May on AEW TV. May gets a lot of comparisons to Tiffany Stratton and Stratton recently stated that she is a fan of Mariah as well while declaring the comparisons to be frustrating. Read her comments here.
