MLW today announced Timothy Thatcher vs. Richard Holliday in the opening round for the 2019 Opera Cup at the Melrose Ballroom in New York City on December 5. The event will be a MLW FUSION TV taping for beIN SPORTS.
Tickets start at $20 at: http://www.OperaCup.com. You can learn more about the Opera Cup’s history here.
Widely considered one of the best scientific pro wrestlers in the world, Timothy Thatcher is revered and feared for his rugged, technical style and its that combination that makes the ring general one of the favorites to go the distance on December 5 in the Opera Cup tournament.
Rarely does Thatcher face a man that can match him in power and size like Richard Holliday can. A dynamic athlete, Holliday is an emerging world class caliber wrestler having won the World Tag Team Titles earlier this year.
With self-proclaimed "dynastic qualities," Holliday sees the Opera Cup as an opportunity to fast-track a singles career and make a statement by dominating. But is the Westport, CT native ready for Thatcher? Known for shutting down adversaries on the mat and manipulating their joints with punishing submissions, the 6’3″ Thatcher is a no nonsense fighter.
Will Thatcher's quest for the cup be denied by the smug elitist? Find out LIVE in New York City December 5 as MLW presents the 2019 Opera Cup. Purchase your tickets at MLWTickets.com and be a part of history!Matches signed thus far:
