Toni Storm is involved in NXT UK and the Mae Young Classic.
On Thursday, WWE confirmed the reports that Toni Storm was added to the 2018 Mae Young Classic. The former PROGRESS Women's Champion made it to the semifinals of last year's tournament and she's also involved with the new NXT UK brand.
In an interview with Mirror Sport, Storm was asked how she feels being so involved with the WWE after years in the United Kingdom independent wrestling circuit.
"It is so surreal and I am so nervous about it. I just forget how incredible it is and have to pinch myself. The UK has a division and I am one of the first to be a part of that. The pressure keeps on rising and there is a lot to push for," said Storm.
With prior experience in the Mae Young Classic, Storm was asked if she's more comfortable going into it this year.
"It is strange because you think the more you do something, the more comfortable it gets. But for me, it gets worse with every match if I am honest! The pressure grows more and more to strive and be better. It helps me though, to push myself to be better. The saying goes 'the moment you stop getting nervous is the day you should quit'," said Storm.
The NXT UK brand will be filming the first episodes this weekend and the Mae Young Classic will be filming in early August.
