Toni Storm provides some insight into her "wild child of the 80s" look.
The newest member of the SmackDown roster spoke with Kayla Braxton on the newest episode of Talking Smack and explained how her mom inspired her and her glam attire. She said the following:
"Okay, well I guess the story starts with my mom never really grew up. She never grew out of the 80s. Every story she would tell me growing up it was just all about the stuff she would get up to in the 1980s. Talk about the music and the culture and everything, and it really inspired me as a kid. Then, when I got into wrestling, so I just thought I'm a huge 80s glam fan, I'm going to go all out with this. You can probably smell the hairspray. I'm highly flammable. All thanks to my mom."
Storm made her SmackDown debut on July 23rd, defeating Zelina Vega. After the match, she commented on how it is her intention to climb the ladder and ultimately capture the Women's Championship.
In addition to winning the 2018 Mae Young Classic, Storm is a former NXT UK Women's Champion. She held the belt for 230 days before dropping it to Kay Lee Ray at TakeOver: Cardiff.
