Tony Khan Doesn't Think Contract Tampering From WWE Has Stopped, 'It's Still Happening'

Tony Khan comments on contract tampering.

Tony Khan has openly spoken about the alleged contract tampering that has happened with WWE reaching out to AEW talent, saying in February 2023, "I've had a lot of wrestlers come to me and allege that WWE reached out to them to tamper with their contracts and asked them to break their contracts. I can't confirm that specifically. I can only tell you what the wrestlers have come to me and said, but I've had multiple wrestlers and staff report that to me; it was very disturbing."

Appearing on The Dan LeBatard Show, Tony Khan was asked about contract tampering and whether it has gotten better since his comments.

"I don't think that it has. It's still happening. I will reserve all rights when it comes to that, but I don't think that it's stopped. I'll leave it at that," he said.

Fightful Select reported "numerous sources close to [The Lucha Bros (Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero Miedo)] that say they’ve been pretty open in claiming that they’ve had WWE talks already and that there is a preliminary offer on the table similar to that of what AEW was offering. When we reached out to WWE sources, they wouldn’t comment on the matters."

Fightful Select has an update on the Lucha Bros and WWE interest as of August 13.
