Tony Khan Doesn't Want To Comment On Daniel Garcia's Contract Status, Says His Return At AEW All In Was A Good Sign

Tony Khan says AEW loves having Daniel Garcia.

Daniel Garcia had been absent since MJF viciously attacked him on the July 3rd episode of AEW Dynamite. He then returned at AEW All In, as he interfered in MJF's match against Will Ospreay. Garcia's involvement cost MJF the match. His appearance at AEW All In came after Fightful Select reported that Garcia's AEW contract was set to expire in October, barring an extension.

During the AEW All In post-show media scrum, Stephanie Chase asked Tony Khan about Daniel Garcia's contract status following his return at the pay-per-view."

"I don’t want to necessarily comment on everybody’s contract length or status, but Daniel is here, and he’s a great part of AEW. We’ve been having great success. It’s been about three years with Daniel here. He started with us at Daily’s Place and was on that run of shows before we went back in front of crowds. He’s somebody who has been with us for a long time and is beloved by the fans and backstage. We love having Daniel here. Without saying exactly what’s going on, it’s a good sign that he was here. Really great to have him come and take that next step tonight. It was a great payoff to a lot of storytelling," Khan said.

Fightful will monitor the situation and provide more information as it becomes available.
