Philadelphia is ECW country and Tony Khan wanted to honor the innovators of extreme following the AEW tapings.
Tony Khan paid tribute to Taz, Chris Jericho, Jerry Lynn, and Dean Malenko at the AEW tapings, thanking them and Philadelphia for all that they've done for wrestling.
Jericho and Malenko weren't in ECW long, but made a sudden impact, bringing a different style to the promotion. Taz and Lynn were staples with Taz being a former ECW Champion and Lynn having arguably the most famous rivalry in ECW through his battles with Rob Van Dam.
Feeling left out, CM Punk made his way to the ring to remind everyone that he was a former ECW Champion as well, joking about his run as ECW Champion under the WWE banner.
