Tony Khan: I Know Bryan Danielson Is Planning To Stay With AEW For A Long Time Going Forward

Tony Khan comments on Bryan Danielson's future.

Bryan Danielson has said that 2024 would be his last year as a full-time wrestler. He has been on a remarkable run, and it will continue at AEW All In, where he will challenge Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship. Beyond that, once Danielson stops wrestling full-time, his future is up in the air.

Speaking on The Rich Eisen Show, Tony Khan was asked about the veterans on the AEW roster, and he brought up Danielson.

“We have so many great captains on this team, and that’s what’s really exciting. We have great leadership, great people here, and nobody greater, I think it’s fair to say, Bryan Danielson is a huge part of the company," Khan said.

Khan went on to highlight Danielson's upcoming match against AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland at AEW All In. He brought up how Strickland has said it will be Danielson's "Final Countdown" and said that he could not say how much time Danielson had left in the ring.

"I can’t say how much time Bryan has left in the ring, but he has said this will be his final year, and this is gonna be the year Bryan hangs them up from up full-time wrestling. At that point, it’s gonna be a sad day for pro wrestling and for me personally. But it’s great to be able to have Bryan that I can call and talk to and have in the locker room with us every week," Khan said.

Khan was then asked whether Danielson was someone he would keep on to help grow AEW after he retired. He said that he hoped Danielson would stay with AEW for the rest of his life. Khan also noted that he knew Danielson was planning to stay with AEW for a long time.

“Absolutely, 100%. I hope Bryan will stay here for the rest of his life, and I know he’s planning to stay with us for a long time going forward as part of the company. I would want Bryan to stay with us as long as humanly possible," Khan said.

Khan previously said that he hoped Bryan Danielson would stay with AEW in some capacity forever. Check out his comments here.
