Tony Khan is making big promises for 2021.
AEW has already stolen headlines in 2021 with the opening of the forbidden door to have NJPW star KENTA and IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson) appear on AEW Dynamite.
AEW has also signed Paul Wight (The Big Show in WWE) and Christian Cage (Christian in WWE) when many thought they would never leave WWE.
The company has also gone outside the typical US box by putting on an exploding barbed wire deathmatch.
And Tony Khan promises more big plans in 2021.
"I would be remiss if I didn't leave the scrum without promising everyone this; in this year, 2021, I promise you, I'm going to have some aces up my sleeve. You are going to see some cool stuff. You are going to see some stuff you didn't expect to see. This is is the beginning. I promise it's going to be a great year for AEW," said Khan during the AEW Revolution media scrum.
Khan didn't elaborate on what those aces might be but did rundown all the signings the company made in 2020 including Sting, Christian, Brian Cage, Matt Hardy, and more.
