Tony Khan On Saudi Soccer Recruitment: If You Have Enough Money, You Can Get Away With Anything, Including Murder

Tony Khan weighs in Saudi Arabia going after top football players.

Saudi Arabia has dipped more and more into the sports world over the years as they've partnered with WWE for multiple shows per year, funded LIV golf, hosted F1 events, and are making plans to sign top talent from soccer in the summer for the Saudi Pro League.

Fulham FC owner Tony Khan appeared on the Dan LeBatard Show and was asked about Saudi's strategy.

"It's amazing. I think, if you have enough money, you can get away with anything, including murder, and try to sign up all the top players in the world. Certainly, they have approached a lot of great players. I'm very interested to see where this goes. For us, we're definitely committed to keeping our top stars. We have a great team, we had a great season, one of the best seasons in the history of Fulham, and I'm really excited about this upcoming season," he said.

Journalist Jamal Khashoggi, entered the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in October 2018, but was never seen leaving. The CIA concluded that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ordered Khashoggi's assassination.
