Tony Khan: The Duration Of AEW Dark And Dark: Elevation Will Change When AEW Goes On The Road

With AEW going back on the road in July, changes will be coming to Dark and Dark: Elevation.

During the pandemic era, AEW Dark, and then Dark: Elevation were taping marathons that would last until 2 a.m. at Daily's Place. Both shows would run for over 90 minutes on YouTube, with some episodes hitting, or going over, the two-hour mark.

That will change as live crowds return.

"[The duration] will change. The format will change too," said Tony Khan in the media scrum following AEW Double or Nothing.

When asked about the evolution of the shows and scouting that has taken place, Tony said, "There's a lot of people. We keep an eye on every match and every person. I don't want to tip it too soon, but I think we're going to sign more wrestlers off Elevation and Dark as we go and we have great young talent there. I'm looking forward to it. We're doing more content and developing more wrestlers. We're going to keep doing Elevation and Dark. They're great platforms and Elevation has a great audience. I always try to put big matches on Elevation and I've been putting angles and promos on there, trying to make it a great wrestling show."

During the media call before Double or Nothing, Cody discussed how Dark and Dark: Elevation will change, saying fans will see more local independent talent. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
