The story of when HOOK met Shad Khan.
Tony Khan is very proud of his ECW fandom. He has frequently told the story of being in the arena for ECW The Doctor Is In 1996, where he saw Sabu and Rob Van Dam battle it out in a Stretcher Match. Tony Khan also saw Taz compete in the ECW Arena, and Shad Khan, Tony's father, also had memories of "The Human Suplex Machine."
During HOOK's portion of the AEW All In post-show media scrum, Tony Khan shared the story of when his father, Shad Khan, met HOOK, Taz's son, at Arthur Ashe Stadium and told him all about watching Taz in the ECW Arena.
"I remember my dad walking up to HOOK and Taz in Arthur Ashe Stadium and saying to HOOK, ‘I have to tell you something. Your dad is a tough guy. I took Tony to the ECW Arena when he was a kid, and that is a warzone. That is the most God-awful place I have ever been to in my life. Your dad is a tough guy to wrestle in that place. I can tell you that.’"
