"The Stone Pitbull" will spend his summer with AEW.
Tony Khan took to Twitter/X and wrote that it was great having NJPW legend Tomohiro Ishii at AEW, and they loved having him there. He announced that Ishii would be staying with AEW for the rest of summer 2024.

Ishii has made multiple appearances for AEW since the company started increasingly working with NJPW. He has competed in multiple matches on AEW programming in recent weeks. On the July 10 episode of AEW Dynamite, he competed in the Global Glory Four-Way match that included PAC, Claudio Castagnoli, and Kyle Fletcher. He also had a match on the Zero Hour pre-show at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Ishii has won numerous titles in NJPW, including the NEVER Openweight Championship and the IWGP Tag Team Championship.
