Former WCW talent Scotty Riggs previously attended AEW Revolution 2024 to watch Sting's last match, in which he and Darby Allin faced The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson and Nicholas Jackson). In December, PWInsider reported that Riggs had been working for AEW for some time, and he helped provide logistical support at AEW shows, including driving talents to venues.
Speaking on What Happened When, co-host Conrad Thompson noted that he saw Scotty Riggs backstage at the January 8th episode of AEW Dynamite, and he said that it was cool that Riggs was working for the company.
“Yeah, behind the scenes. Scotty’s been with us for, gosh, over six months or so, yeah. I think it’s great that Tony and the company gave him a job, let him work for us," Schiavone said.
Schiavone did not elaborate on his comments about Scotty Riggs or his role with AEW.
In December, Prince Nana posted a picture in which Riggs could be seen with Schiavone backstage at an AEW show.
