Tony Schiavone: I'm Excited That My Long-Time Career Will Continue For Another Four To Five Years

Tony Schiavone comments on AEW media rights renewal.

On October 2nd, AEW and Warner Brothers Discovery announced that the parties agreed to a multi-year deal that would keep AEW on TBS and TNT for the foreseeable future.

Speaking at the AEW WrestleDream press conference, Tony Schiavone commented on the deal.

"We're very very excited about our renewal with Warner Brothers Discovery and Fox Sports Mexico. We're very very excited about that. I'm personally excited that my long-time career is going to continue for at least another four to five years or so. I'm honored to be here," he said.

The Sports Business Journal previously reported that the AEW deal with Warner Brothers was for three years guaranteed and a fourth-year option.

Schiavone was been with AEW since the start of the company in 2019. Along with being an announcer on multiple shows, he fills a backstage role as the senior producer.
