Tony Schiavone Would Like To See Control Center Segments Air On AEW TV

Tony Schiavone would like to see a particular change to AEW TV.

During the '80s and '90s, Gene Okerlund would often appear on wrestling programming to sell the upcoming pay-per-view for the promotion that he works for. They would call the segments Control Center, and Okerlund would give fans a rundown of the card.

AEW carries this on by having Control Center segment on YouTube.

Speaking on What Happened When, Conrad Thompson expressed his interest in having those segments air on AEW TV.

"I would love it to air on television," said Schiavone.

"Do you think the thought is, people won't stay tuned for that?" questioned Conrad.

"That's a question for Tony Khan. He's really into giving them action, and there is times we talk to him about 'should we take a little time to sell this, sell that,' he said, 'No, we need more action.' Our promos are a minute, where back in the day they used to let the promos go. he is so into making sure it's time for wrestling that it cuts away from all the other stuff. I agree," said Schiavone.

Conrad said again, "I would like to see it on TV, I miss that."

Schiavone agreed, saying, "I do too."
