It’s SummerSlam, and tensions are high. There is large 6-Woman Tag Team match and Natalya has an unknown tag team partner which she is freaking out about since it is only two hours until show time.
Two weeks prior to the event, Miz uses a leaf blower to blow wind in his wife’s face so she can get the perfect selfie. Miz and Maryse decide to do a huge party in New York for SummerSlam week. They call their parties MarMiz Chateau style. They decide to do a “prom” theme. Miz wants it to be simple but Maryse is running with the theme, she never got to go to her real prom because she had been dumped two hours prior. They do a very extravagant prom party. They do the cheesy prom photos, ice sculpture, and even principal-Mr. Belding from Saved by the Bell shows up. As cheesy as it is, it looks like a good time. Miz and Maryse even get named prom queen and king.
At Nikki’s beach house, Brie is there and Nikki got the word that she will probably not be needed until after SummerSlam. Nikki is bummed because she really wanted to be back on TV by SummerSlam. Nikki feels forgotten. Brie tells Daniel to try and put a word in with creative to get Nikki on SummerSlam since she is cleared. Nikki gets mad that Brie was trying to help get her on the show and feels like she has enough hate from people saying she can’t get things done on her own since she is with John Cena. Brie tells Daniel that she didn’t have Nikki’s go-ahead on the SummerSlam situation. He tells her that her heart was in the right place. Brie apologizes to Nikki.
At SummerSlam, the Women’s tag team will be Nattie, Alexa Bliss and Eva tagging together. Eva is excited to finally get to wrestle. Then Eva finds out she has been sent home because she has failed the company’s wellness policy, Eva did not want to be filmed when she first finds out about it. Eva says that she has been on the same prescription since high school and it has never been a problem before. Her paperwork was turned in late and that is the reasoning for the 30-day suspension.
Lana wants to be Eva’s replacement for the Women’s Tag match. Lana then challenges Trinity to a dance off at the prom. Lana is going to have Nattie in her corner for the dance battle. Nattie is truly terrible. They had the dance off and it was called a tie.
The partner for the tag match is finally revealed to the competitors. It ends up being Nikki Bella and she has the comeback she dreamed about. She debuts her new finisher- The Rack 2.0.
Three weeks after SummerSlam, Brie takes a pregnancy test and it is positive. Brie and Daniel are over the moon. Fitting that this episode debuts today as Brie and Bryan welcomed their daughter Birdie Joe into the world late last night. Congratulations to them!
Total Bellas Season Two featuring Brie’s pregnancy will be premiering in the fall on the E!Channel.
