Trae Young Appears On WWE SmackDown, New York Fans Fail To Acknowledge Their King

The King of New York returned to Madison Square Garden on WWE SmackDown.

Trae Young, who famously buried the New York Knicks in the NBA Playoffs, came back to MSG on SmackDown, siding with Sami Zayn, Apollo Crews, Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, & Otis in a ten-man tag team match.

Young was introduced by Zayn, who was wearing a Knicks jersey. As you would expect, the New York crowd greeted with resounding boos because the only greatness the Knicks have ever seen has been in the form of the opposition.

Young even got involved in the action on SmackDown, choking Rey Mysterio on the ropes. Young's involvement led to him being ejected from ringside. The MSG erupted, marking the first time Trae has heard cheers in the Garden.

Young averaged 29.2 points and 9.8 assists, hitting big shots against the Knicks to send them home in five games in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

He famously "shushed" the MSG crowd after hitting the game-winner in Game One.
