The six-part docuseries on Ted Turner titled "Call Me Ted" will premiere on Max on November 13th.
Ahead of the premiere, Max has released the trailer for the series. Wrestling fans hoping for a WCW mention might be disappointed to learn there is no mention of World Championship Wrestling or Ted's venture into the 'rasslin' business in the trailer.
In 1980, Turner founded CNN, the first 24-hour cable news channel. He also founded TBS, which became TBS, and owned the Atlanta Braves from 1976 to 2007 when Time Warner sold the team to Liberty Media.
In wrestling, Turner is best known for purchasing Jim Crockett Promotions and rebranding it as World Championship Wrestling. WCW went head-to-head with WWE during the Monday Night Wars, and was the top wrestling promotion in America in terms of viewership during the mid-to-late 90s.
