Trick Williams slayed the dragon and won the gold.
In the main event of NXT Spring Breakin' Week One on April 23, Trick Williams challenged Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Championship in a high-stakes match where Trick would have been forced to leave NXT if he lost.
Trick and Dragunov battled it out, and the champion overpowered his opponent early on. Dragunov rocked Williams with stiff blows throughout the bout. He took flight and hit a Coast to Coast, but Williams rallied. Trick borrowed from Ilja by hitting him with an H-Bomb. Dragunov fired up, and they brawled at ringside. Williams took a big swing with a Rock Bottom through the broadcast table.

They kept waging war, and Dragunov blasted Trick with multiple H-Bombs. Trick persevered, and he and Dragunov stood on opposite sides of the ring after a flurry. Williams and Dragunov charged each other, and Trick struck first with the Trick Knee for the win.
After the bell, Dragunov grabbed the title, but he handed it to Williams and hugged him. Trick then celebrated with the crowd as the show went off the air.
