Trick Williams is back.
In the main event of NXT Halloween Havoc Night Two on October 31, Ilja Dragunov defended the NXT Championship against Carmelo Hayes. Hayes earned the title shot by winning a Triple Threat match that included Baron Corbin and Dijak on the October 17 episode of NXT. The match had been set to include Trick Williams, but he was removed from the bout after he was attacked backstage.
Dragunov and Hayes battled it out in a thrilling match on Halloween night. As seen in their previous matches, they pushed each other to the limit in a hard-hitting contest. At ine point, Hayes dropped Dragunov with a DDT on the apron. Dragunov fired back by slamming Hayes onto the apron.
In the end, Hayes gained the upper hand, and he was on the verge of victory when Williams' music played. Trick walked out, and Hayes was distracted. Dragunov capitalized and hit the Torpedo Moscow for the win.

After the bell, Trick came to the ring and started to confront Hayes, as he lifted the former champion to his feet. However, before he could do anything, the cameras panned backstage, where Baron Corbin was standing over Dragunov in the aftermath of an apparent attack.
