Trick Williams dodges a question about Darkstate.
Darkstate (Cutler James, Dion Lennox, Saquon Shugars, and Osiris Griffin) has been wreaking havoc in recent weeks, but they have not attacked Trick Williams, leading some fans to question whether Williams might be behind the group. On the March 25th episode of WWE NXT, Darkstate appeared and looked on as Je'Von Evans and NXT Champion Oba Femi brawled. Trick Williams ran in and hit Evans with a Trick Shot. Officials then separated Williams and Femi.
Later in the show, Williams was interviewed backstage, and he was asked whether he meant to hit Je'Von Evans. Williams first said that Evans was collateral damage before he said that Evans was a distraction. He stated that he was the man in NXT, and he was supposed to be the NXT Champion. Williams called out Oba Femi and said he knew where to find him.
When asked about Darkstate, Williams simply said that it wasn't his business.
"That ain't my business."@_trickwilliams doesn't care about @WWEJeVonEvans or Darkstate, he's only focused on @Obaofwwe and the NXT Championship. --#WWENXT pic.twitter.com/Gst1n7pb9u
