Trick Williams is on top of the NXT mountain right now as the reigning NXT Champion. Williams came to wrestling from football and has quickly risen up the ranks, starting as a sidekick to Carmelo Hayes and then standing out on his own.
Williams works closely with Shawn Michaels, who is in charge of creative for the brand.
Whenever Williams is looking for advice, he goes directly to the man himself.
"Honestly, I’m going straight to Shawn at this point," Trick said on the Happy Hour podcast when asked who he goes to for advice. "For where I want to be and where I see myself in my career, there are only a few people who are going to push me and give me the real like I really need to hear. That’s Shawn Michaels, Terry Taylor, Booker T, even CM Punk. CM Punk has been around a lot and he’s been very helpful for us. I would say those four guys."
Trick is set to defend his NXT Championship against Ethan Page in a Devil's Playground match at NXT Halloween Havoc.
