Triple H On Chris Jericho Appearing On Broken Skull Sessions: It's Not Shocking To Me

On Friday, April 2 it was announced that Chris Jericho would be the next guest on Steve Austin's Broken Skull Sessions interview series, which airs on Peacock and WWE Network.

The news caught fans off guard as it would mark an AEW star appearing on a WWE-produced program. Steve Austin revealed that Vince McMahon was cool with Jericho's appearance and Tony Khan had also signed off on it.

On the NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver media call, Triple H was asked by Gary Cassidy of ITRWrestling about the big news of Jericho coming back to WWE for a special appearance.

"We're open for business, I've said it a million times," stated Triple H. "Vince has been adamant about that; what's best for business for WWE and open to working with whoever that is. It's a funny thing that people sometimes create their own situations in their head. [Jericho on Austin's show] is not shocking to me. People make comments after they leave about receiving a nice call from Vince. It's not shocking. The perception and creation of what people believe in their heads when they have zero knowledge is amazing sometimes; the fantasy world that is created."

Despite AEW competing with NXT in the weekly ratings and Jericho taking shots in interviews and social media, he did wish Triple H a happy 25th anniversary in WWE last year.

Broken Skull Sessions with Chris Jericho is set to air on Sunday, April 11.
