Triple H Spoke To Britt Baker After She Was Shown On NXT "On Accident"; Doesn't Want Heat On Her

Triple H comments on Britt Baker appearing on NXT TakeOver: WarGames III.

NXT TakeOver: WarGames III ended with Team Ciampa standing victorious following Tommaso Ciampa pinning Adam Cole after a top of the cage Air Raid Crash through two tables. As WWE likes to do, the camera cut to crowd reaction shots after the big spot. One shot showed AEW star Britt Baker with a look of concern for her boyfriend Adam Cole. NXT announcer Mauro Ranallo referenced Baker and her relationship with Adam Cole, but made no reference to AEW.

During the post-TakeOver media call with Triple H, he was asked by Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp about the decision to show and reference Baker on camera.

He began by mentioning he spoke to Baker and Cole about her being shown on camera and then explained, "The director that took the shot didn't know who it was, just went to the woman in the crowd that had the most concerned/crazy look on her face and he took the shot. The second he took the shot, somebody next to him, I'm sure said who [it was] and he got off the shot. I don't have a problem with it in any way, shape or form. Then, to not address it, it's the elephant in the room that you don't address. Now, it's weird, right? I would never want to put a talent in that position. I get why she's here. I get who she's here with. I would never want to put her in a position where I took a shot of her and it gets her heat or it gets her to have a problem with her employers and what she's doing. I wouldn't want that to be a problem for her, and it very easily could be."

He continued, "When I saw it, at first, I was like, 'Oh my God, was that just Britt?' Then I'm like 'Ughhh,' cause I feel bad. I don't want to put anybody like that in a position where that could be problematic. It doesn't need to happen. I don't have a problem with [the shot] or it being on camera or saying [her name]. I just would never want it to be problematic for anyone else. I'm happy for her. She has a good thing going on, she's killing it. I certainly wouldn't want that to interfere with what she does."

Baker was previously shown in the crowd during NXT TakeOver: XXV, sitting near Stephanie McMahon. However, she was not referenced on camera at that event.
