Triple H: I'll Be Good With Buffering If Netflix Says 60-70 Million Households Are Watching WWE Raw Debut

WWE Raw will premiere on Netflix in January 2025 as Netflix ventures into weekly live sports streaming.

Netflix has had live programming throughout 2024, including Kobayashi vs. Joey Chestnut and Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul. While the hot dog eating showdown between Kobayashi and Chestnut went smoothly, the boxing bout between Tyson and Paul was littered with buffering issues.

Netflix touted that 60 million households streamed Tyson vs. Paul, offering some explanation as to the issues.

"I don't want to flex about it, but it was buffering on my end because I was on a plane watching it. The buffering was expected on my side. We were flying back from TV watching the fight and the signal was wonky. I thought, 'We're 40,000 feet in the air, it should be.' Then, seeing it online of everybody saying it was buffering. You start putting 60 million households all at once on a streaming service, if our first night buffers and they come and say there were 60-70 million households watching, I'll be good with the buffering," Triple H said on Greg and the Morning Buzz.

The first episode of WWE Raw on Netflix will take place on January 6, 2025.
