Ricochet is not injured and will be in his match against Velveteen Dream.
On Tuesday, there were reports that Ricochet may be injured because he missed a NXT Live Event in Belgium on Tuesday. On the conference call for NXT Takeover: Chicago Triple H was asked about Ricochet's current condition. Triple H said he was only resting ahead of his match at NXT Takeover.
"He just tweaked himself a little bit at the show in Paris. He's not injured, we just didn't want to take a chance with it and with Takeover being just down the road a bit. The one thing with athletes across the board from any sport, somebody has to pull the reigns on them and tell them 'let's back off today,'" said Triple H. "He tweaked his shoulder a little bit but he is fine," he added.
Ricochet will be in a singles match against Velveteen Dream at NXT Takeover which Triple H also spoke about during the conference call where he said he expected the match to steal the show.
