Triple H On Sasha Banks Potential WWE Return: Time Will Tell, It Comes Down To What She Wants To Do

On the May 16 episode of WWE Raw, Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out on the show despite being the reigning WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. Banks reportedly met with Vince McMahon at the show and was reportedly "unhappy with a situation" and neither would reportedly budge. They were indefinitely suspended on the subsequent episode of WWE SmackDown.

Banks & Naomi have made public appearances since the walkout, but have not commented on their future in wrestling.

Vince McMahon retired as WWE CEO on July 22 amid the WWE board investigating him for alleged sexual misconduct and hush money. Triple H took over as head of creative and talent relations. Triple H made an immediate impact on the product by bringing back previously released talent such as Dakota Kai, Dexter Lumis, Karrion Kross, and more.

Triple H has also been a big supporter of Banks dating back to Banks' time in NXT.

When asked by Ariel Helwani of BT Sport if Banks could potentially return to the company, Triple H replied, "Time will tell. Time will tell. In a lot of ways, communication breakdowns are terrible. There was a communication breakdown there, for whatever reason. Starting back up that communication, it's not a difficult process, but it's a process, and you have to go through the process. The passion, clearly, for what we do, there is a passion for other things as well. It comes down to what does she want to do? It has to be right for her. It has to be right for everybody. She is, as you've seen over the course of her career of coming into the PC [Performance Center] at NXT, is an unbelievable performer that I believe in with everything I have. That is one of the biggest stars in our business. It's just what she wants to do."

After Banks & Naomi were suspended, WWE stated a tournament would begin to crown new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. The tournament didn't start until Triple H came into power.

Raquel Rodriguez & Aliyah became the new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions on WWE Raw when they defeated Dakota Kai & IYO SKY.

Outside of wrestling, Banks has starred in Star Wars: The Mandalorian.

It is unknown if or when Banks & Naomi will return to WWE.
