Trish Stratus Doesn't Know If She's Had Her Last Match, '8-Time Champion Sounds Good To Me'

Trish Stratus reflects on her most recent run in WWE and it doesn't give a definitive answer as to whether or not she's completely hanging up her boots.

2023 saw Trish Stratus return to WWE for a brief run on regular programming. She was featured on Monday Night Raw in a program opposite Becky Lynch that concluded at WWE Payback inside a steel cage.

Speaking in a new interview with Chris Van Vliet during the premiere of The Iron Claw movie about the Von Erich dynasty, the WWE Hall of Famer said she enjoyed her most recent run because it allowed her to accomplish things women were not given the opportunity to do when she was a full-time competitor. Also, Stratus wouldn't say she was done but did say that one more run with a Women's Championship might be nice.

"When I embarked on the journey, I came back for WrestleMania, 'Let's do this little program.' Suddenly, heel Trish had to come alive. Then, it just kept going and going. I got to do things I didn't get to do, right? Ladder Match, Saudi Arabia, Cage Match. To be able to dip my toes into the current landscape and check boxes that I wasn't able to check back in the day was pretty amazing. Yeah, I mean, I could become an eight-time champ. That sounds good to me. Why not?"

During her most recent run, Stratus was also able to elevate Zoey Stark by Stark's association with her. Now, Stark is scheduled for her first one-on-one Women's World Championship opportunity against Rhea Ripley at WWE Survivor Series, the same event where Trish Stratus captured her first WWE Women's Championship 22 years ago.
