The first-ever WWE United Kingdom Champion addresses the current rumors surrounding him.
Yesterday afternoon, it was stated by Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio, that former WWE U.K. Champion, Tyler Bate, is not in good standings with WWE officials at the moment. Bate, who made his first appearance on WWE programing at 19 years old in last year's U.K. Championship Tournament, has earned the respect of many fans who had not been familiar with him prior to WWE. According to Meltzer, this issue kicked off dating back to May of 2017, when WWE wanted to book the U.K. standout for a main roster live event tour, but Bate had other obligations and could not make the tour.
Tyler Bate has lost a number of matches on WWE TV since his 2017 Match of The Year with Pete Dunne at NXT TakeOver: Chicago. His most recent coming from his match with Roderick Strong, prior to NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia going live on the WWE Network. Today, Bate sent the following tweet out, stating that: "People love making things up".
It appears that the 20-year old U.K. standout does not find the rumors to be truthful.
