You can't keep Brodie Lee Jr. out of the ring.
Brodie Lee Jr. (referred to as -1 in AEW) has become a weekly fixture on AEW television, whether he's hitting people with a kendo stick or working as an announcer on AEW Dark. Recently, he had a training session with Tyson Kidd, Natalya, and Liv Morgan at Kidd's training facility.
Speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Kidd recalled Brodie Jr's in-ring work and their time together.
"He's insane [laughs]. I said, 'Brodie, you wanna get in the ring?' He said, 'Yes!' He didn't even think about it. We rolled in, locked up, and he's strong. I knew he did amateur wrestling, but now he does jiu-jitsu too. He shot in for a single and hit an outside trip. I was like, 'Okay, this guy is serious.' We're wrestling and he gives me something to where I'm in the corner, he's in the opposite corner. He comes flying in with a dropkick. I'm just laughing. Before I'm done laughing, he's back in the corner and I thought he was going to do another one. Wrong. Cannonball. He had energy forever. It was hard to get him out of the ring. I have crashpads, so we brought them over and he was jumped off the steps and do a frog splash or coffin drop or leg drop or elbow or swanton. Then he started making me call out wrestlers and he would do their moves. Then he gets on the apron and jumps on the pad. He kept doing the spinning clothesline. His face was glowing and he was having the time of his life," said Kidd.
Kidd went on to say that as nice as Brodie was in the ring, he would jokingly tell him and Liv that "they suck" once the training was over. He also noted that Teddy Hart showed up and Brodie Jr. cut a promo on him.
